The wedding which held on June 8-10 2023 in Lagos Nigeria was a tornado that almost melted the Internet.
The strictly-by-invite ceremonies attracted a huge turn-out of Nigerians from the United States of America. Why? Well, the bride, former Dr Toyin Ramon aka Dr Tee Glamm, a mental health professional, who lives and works in Houston, Texas has many friends and associates who love her.
Now addressed as Dr Mrs. Toyin Oladejo, she calls the shots at Sparks Psychiatry Clinics which is scattered around Texas, Minnesota and Arizona.
The traditional wedding between Dr Tee and Hon. Seye Oladejo kicked off on Thursday June 8, 2023.
A fashionista of note, Dr Tee set the ball rolling with her coral/diamond neckpiece which she wore on beautiful gold attire. The custom-made jewellery remains a cynosure of eyes. The ‘Eru Iyawo’ (bride price items) which the groom’s family brought attracted attention what with the Louis Vuitton Luggage boxes and a drone which ushered in the proposal letter to the bride’s family. Another luggage box was filled with dollar bills for the bride.
By Saturday morning, the buzz was all over town that #seyestolove# was a bomb, especially with the traditional wedding disco gig of June 8, which witnessed hip hop artiste, Nairamarley thrilling guests at the Marriot Hotels, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
By 10 am, celebrities, friends and family members, thronged the Whitestone Event Place to celebrate with the couple at the white wedding officiated by Dr Shola Adeoye, a minister of God based in the United States.
The Wedding Dress
As a matter of fact, Dr Tee confessed she went shopping for her bridal dress in Kosovo. Sewn by the popular Albanian dressmaker, Valdrin Sahiti, Dr Tee became one of the few Nigerians to order wedding dresses from the couturier.
She wrote while she went for the fitting in Kosovo, “Traveled to Kosovo to order my wedding dress. People thought I was insane for going to a recently war stricken country. I was nervous but I knew what I wanted. Albanians are wonderful people. Loved my dress— end of story! #weddingtip- you can get designer dresses for almost half price if you go to their country to order. Be intentional about what you wear and how you look while saving $$$$.”
The Décor
If guests were enthralled by the décor of white roses which filled the hall and petals, then they were wowed beyond reasoning when the reception hall was thrown open. It was a crystal themed décor. From the roof to the tables, the hall sparkled. Sources close to the couple revealed it must have cost N40million to have that décor in place!
Wedding Cakes That Wowed All
The peach/cream gigantic cake for the engagement ceremony on Thursday was a sight to behold. Even with the large chunks given to guests, it was still looking like a peach mountain by the time the traditional wedding was over.
But wait till Saturday.
The wedding cake was a story on its own. According to Dr Tee, it was symbolic and every detail of the ‘mighty’ cake had a message to relay.
With an angelic figure with wings staring at you in the face, every part of the cake was edible! Designed and baked by Finaltouch Cakes, the baker confessed it cost N20million to have that massive structure of sugar icing. He also confessed he spent six months preparing the cake.
Lace Fabrics By Jummhy Exclusive
Revealing to followers on her Instagram page, Dr Tee said all her fabrics were custom-made and the CEO, Jummhy Fabrics, Mrs. Jumoke Oyeneyin, travelled to Europe to help with fabrics she wore for the wedding.
The excited bride wrote on Instagram, “Working with Aunty Jummy has been a GREAT experience. She understands the term “customer service”. Providing updates in a timely manner. She far exceeded my expectations. She traveled all the way to Europe to customize fabrics for little me. Thanks @jummhy_exclusive_fabrics.”
The lace fabrics Dr Tee wore after letting go of her wedding dress was an Exclusive HOH Avant-Garde Chantilly coupled with HOH 3D Gele custom- made for Jummhy Exclusive Fabrics. The jewellery set was a sight to behold.
But when Dr Tee emerged the third time, jaws dropped! Adorning Swiss Premium finest stitches million stoned voile lace, the rattan gold/ diamond neckpiece set everywhere on fire! The video almost melted the Internet.
Seye And Toyin: A Love Story For Movies Only
Hon Shodipo, a politician and close friend of Hon Seye Oladejo gave the toast at the wedding. Typical of close allies to know what transpired before any wedding, he narrated how the lovebirds met.
“Theirs is a typical love story that whoever is interested in filmmaking can get their script out as a movie.
Seye, the Oniru of Iruland, Oba Gbolahan Lawal and I were friends while we were in government some years back. Then, I remember when Oba Gbolahan Lawal was having a ceremony in the palace and we were invited. Some guests also came from the United States of America. Toyin was one of those that arrived from the US.
She came in much later than any other person who came for the programme. At the party, Toyin was sitting two seats away from Seye and before I knew what was happening, they started a discussion and became engrossed with whatever they were saying. Seye lost concentration throughout the event! He hardly heard anything I said and was engrossed with Dr Tee. Well, all is now history because they are married today,” he said.
The couple, who are both divorced before signing the dotted lines together are smitten with each other. Referring to him as her gold, Dr Tee revealed, in an Instagram post that she is a gold digger.
She wrote, “Important marital lesson: How you view and describe your partner matters. Others may see a downcast, I/we see an uplift. I’m the luckiest person alive to marry this man, so proud of who he is and will marry him all over again. All I see in him is GOLD. I’m a GOLD DIGGER- so I know.”
So, what did the excited groom say of his beautiful bride? Hon Seye Oladejo, who had three sons from his previous relationship (he is divorced) revealed, I have found my missing rib. A woman I cherish, my cheerleader, my greatest supporter, my heartbeat, my destiny, my soulmate, Dr Olubukola Ramon.
For one who supplied the beautiful fabrics for the bride and then the HOH fabrics for guests, her excitement over #seyestolove# is understandable. Dr Tee revealed that Mrs. Jumoke Oyeneyin, CEO, Jummhy Exclusive Laces & Fabrics had travelled to Europe to help customize fabrics she wore for her wedding. Her introduction is simply modest—Jumoke Oyeneyin, wife, mother and fashionista. Everything about her speaks just one word—panache. She is modestly elegant too. What just beats the imagination is how she has remained humble in the midst of affluence. Mrs. Oyeneyin is a power dresser and a lover of exotic jewellery. ….When the couple majestically walked into the exotically decorated hall…..the celebrity international stylist @segungele and my humble self could not help but give each other a hug of joy……our extra glamorousluxury bride totally killed this number……with absolutely nothing left to say…..
Call it wedding of year…yeah right….call it wedding of the century…yeah right …call it a fairy tale wedding…yeah right..Call it a luxurious wedding…yeah right…..but one thing is of a fact ….there can’t be another wedding like this….this particular one will linger in our memory for a looooooooooooooooooooong‼ time to come…..
