The three-day celebration of the passing of Madam Grace Abisola Owodunni was full of activities.
Planned by Golditeventsolutions, the party was classy with lavish supplies of food and drinks.










The late 77-year-old woman was the mother of Nollywood’s beautiful actress, Mercy Aigbe. She died on September 23, 2025
For family members and the three surviving children of the deceased, they must have vowed to give her a befitting burial.

And they did.





















The funeral rites kicked off on Thursday November 27 with a Christian wake at her Lagos residence.



By Thursday, November 28, 2025, there was a laying-in-state and then a church service at the Bemil Chapel of Epiphany in Lagos.









Interment followed and her remains were interred at a private cemetery.
Paying tributes to her mum, Mercy Aigbe extolled the virtues in the deceased and how she shaped her into the woman she has become currently.








“Through your quiet strength you taught me resilience. Through your compassion, you taught me how to love deeply. Through your unwavering faith, you showed me the beauty of trusting God for all things. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made, every prayer you whispered on my behalf and every warmth and comfort you gave so selflessly. ….. Your legacy of love, kindness and grace will continue to guide me and our entire family all the days of our lives. Sleep well, my beautiful mother,” she said.
For Dr. Pat Aigbekan, who is Mercy’s elder sister, she wrote a touching tribute to her mum. “You were such a wonderful mother to me,truly one of a kind.Despite my flaws and mistakes and my health challenges,you never stopped loving me. Your care and patience shaped who I am today. You stood by me when no one else did and you taught me never to give up. Your love made me strong and taught me to keep believing. To hold on to faith and to trust in what only God can do. You showed me what true and unconditional love is. Though you are no longer here, I still feel your presence in my heart.”
By Saturday November 29, 2025, the reception for guests took place at a prestigious hall in Lekki, Lagos with many celebrities and very Important Personalities in attendance. Nollywood actors, and many faces in the entertainment industry throngeed the venue to honour Mercy Aigbe, her siblings and her husband, Alhaji Kazeem Adeoti.
